A new user establish at KSAT Svalbard Ground station.

In early July 2007, a team of Iridium LLC, Boing and KSAT finished the installation of a new Iridium ground station at the KSAT Svalbard facility, SvalSat. During a two weeks intensive period, the full ground station was built commissioned and tested. Regular operation will commence in the fall of 2007.

The first installation contains two fully equipped ground TAC terminals. They are located at the Plateau where SvalSat is established and fully integrated in the SvalSat operations.

KSAT is growing rapidly and a number of other antennas are scheduled for installation at Svalbard this year. The successful installation of the Iridium system is only the first major milestone in this years activity
