Sounding Rocket Support

KSAT has supported Sounding Rockets from both Andøya Rocket Range and the Ny-Ålesund Launch Facility. The KSAT ground stations has been used by NASA and other scientific programs for the exploration of the dayside aurora and processes in the magnetospheric boundary layer. From both sites, KSAT implements our ground stations with the launcher authorities. The support from KSAT is favourable, given the location of our ground stations. The combination of our two ground stations at 78 deg North and 69 Deg North provides a valuable coverage and our ground stations can be implemented as prime or back-up for telemetry.
