KSAT and PierSight sign agreement to support its upcoming satellite constellation

Kongsberg Satellite Services (KSAT) and Indian space company PierSight have signed an agreement to support its upcoming maritime satellite constellation through KSAT's global ground station network.

PierSight is developing a Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) + Automatic Identification System (AIS) satellite constellation focused on maritime surveillance and intelligence.

Through the agreement, PierSight will utilize KSAT's global KSATlite network for launch and early orbit operations, satellite communications, and routine mission support. The cooperation provides a scalable foundation as PierSight prepares to expand its constellation in the coming years.

Adrian H. Sheils, Business Development Manager – Middle East & Asia Pacific at
KSAT, says:

– We are very pleased to welcome PierSight as a new customer and support their ambitious constellation plans. PierSight is a great example of the innovation and momentum we are seeing across the Indian space ecosystem. We look forward to building a strong, long-term partnership as their constellation expands.

By combining KSAT's global ground station infrastructure with PierSight's innovative satellite technology, the cooperation will support the delivery of advanced maritime intelligence services worldwide.
